Learn how to export your maps and personas to PPTX

Once your map or persona is ready, you might want to present it to others. You can export it as a PowerPoint file and then use it to create your presentation on top of it.

There are three places to export your map or persona:

  • Tag page

  • Customer journey map, persona, or impact map page

How to export customer journey maps and personas to PowerPoint

To export a journey map to PowerPoint,

  • If you want to brand your file with your logo, website link, and colors, be sure to set up branding first.

  • Open the export popup and choose the PPTX format.

  • Choose the sections you want to include in the file. You can pick 6 just of them at a time as PowerPoint slides are limited in space.

The section numbers above match the sections below.

  • Click on the “Export” button.

Once you export the map, you have presentation slides similar to these:

The first slide will display the information about your project:

Note: You can export only six persona or journey map sections at a time. If you need more sections for your presentation, export the map or persona with the rest of the sections and copy-paste the new slides to the first file.

How to export impact maps to PowerPoint

To export an impact map to PowerPoint,

  • If you want to brand your file with your logo, website link, and colors, be sure to set up branding first.

  • Open the export popup and choose the PPTX format.

  • Hit “Export”. Note: You cannot choose sections to export to the PPTX file in the Impact Map tool.

The exported file will include separate slides with business goals, personas, impacts, deliverables, and user stories:

Note: You cannot export maps and personas in bulk. But we’re working on it 😎
