Managing Chunk types

Learn how to add a new Chunk type to your workspace and edit default ones

Written by Tanya from UXPressia

In UXPressia, paid users starting from the Pro plan can customize chunk types available in the workspace beyond the five default Chunk types to tailor them to their organization’s standards.

For example, they can introduce the “Challenges” Chunk type instead of “Problems”, or add “Epics” in addition to “Tasks”.

How to create a custom Chunk type

To create a new Chunk type, go to Workspace > Taxonomy > Chunk types.

Click the ‘ADD CHUNK TYPE’ button. On the new page, add a Chunk type name and select the properties you want to have inside it.

Once saved, the new Chunk type will appear on the dashboard, and workspace contributors will be able to use it inside their maps and personas.

It will also have a dedicated Report for this new type, along with other Chunk types.

How to modify default Chunk types

Go to Workspace > Taxonomy > Chunk types and select the ‘Edit’ action for the Chunk type you want to modify.

editing existing chunk types

On the Chunk type page, make the changes and save them. E.g., you can rename the type, select or deselect properties.

Note: When you save the changes, they will apply to all Chunks of the type inside the workspace. Make sure your teammates know about the changes in advance so that no necessary data is lost when you make them.

If needed, you can also delete any Chunk type from the workspace. Once deleted, they will appear in the ‘Deleted’ tab, from where you can restore or permanently delete them.
