How to export impact maps

Learn how to download impact maps on your computer and save them to PDF, CSV, PPTX, or PNG

Got your impact map ready? Let's export it. It's just a few clicks.

There are three places to export your impact map:

Impact map page

To export an impact from its page, 

  • Open up the impact map you want to export.

  • Click on Export in the upper bar over the map editor.

  • Choose a suitable format in the pop-up window.

  • Hit the "Export" button.

Tag page

To export a customer journey map from a Tag page:

  • Go to the Tag page that contains the target impact map.

  • Open the hamburger menu on the right of the impact map’s bar and hit 'Export'.

  • Click on the “Export” button.

Note: Export to .CSV, PDF, and PPTX is not available to free users. If you want to see what exported maps look like, check this article.

Dashboard page

You can also export your IMs from the dashboard page. It works the same way as on the Tag page.

How to open .csv files in Excel

  • Open a new Excel document and go to the Data tab. 

  • Hit the “From Text” option.

  • Select a .CSV file you wish to open and click on the “Import” button.

  • A new window will open up. Choose the “Delimited” file type and click “Next”.

  • Select three delimiters — Tab, Semicolon, and Comma — and click “Next”.

  • Set the column data format to general and hit “Finish”.

  • That’s it!
